Joanie Morrow I have always had a strong desire to create and consider myself "lucky" to have raised 2 children whislt doing what I love… designing and creating with textiles. Coming from entrepneurial roots it was a natural progression of over 30 years ago that I started selling my handmade creations at local markets. My sewing/creating turned from a hobby to full time passion! When the children where small we built a craft/giftware store on our acrage just outside of town. My focus shifted to quilting and I have been deisgning in house since 2000. This ultimately led to the designing of my first collection of fabric along with the release of my patterns into the market place under the "patternworkz design studio" brand.
Most days… you will find me…(well all 3 of us)… at the store… Living the Dream!
Kelsey Morrow It all began… in the bottom drawer of my Mom's sewing cabinet, that is where she sat me as soon as I was able to sit up on my own. Scraps of fabric falling atop my head, I was hooked at an early age! As I grew up I never entered into another vocation. I worked in my Mom's quilt shop in the summers and on weekends through out my high school years, and full time since I graduated. I competed in quilting at school competition's, that's when I started designing patterns. As competition rules state you have to provide a pattern of what you made, since I made my own creations (with moms help) we put them into pattern format . In 2011 I expanded in to longarm quilting with my purple gammill, Audrey, and have fallen into yet another addiction of the quilting world!
